Job Description: Bariatric surgeon needed to establish a new bariatric surgery practice including both open and laparoscopic procedures. Candidate will be responsible for creating a certified bariatric surgery program. Administrative, clinical staff and equipment will be provided.

Candidate must have completed a general surgery residency as well as a minimally invasive/laparoscopic and /or bariatric surgery fellowship. He/she should be experienced in developing and attaining certification of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary bariatric surgery program.

Hospital will provide a competitive two year net-income guarantee commensurate with the selected physician’s training and experience. Relocation expenses as well as marketing and practice start-up assistance will be available.

Location is a city of 58,000 in a metro area of over 100,000 about half-way between Detroit and Chicago. Population service area is over 300,000. Family friendly community with great schools, affordable housing, recreation, entertainment and cultural activities. Three major universities within one hours drive. Expanding commercial/industrial base with strong economy.
